SimLab 3D PDF exporter for SolidWorks plugin enables SolidWorks users to export their 3D models in *.pdf file format, with customized templates using SimLab Template Designer.
The plugin is supported on SolidWorks 2013, and 2014; 32, and 64bit.
3D PDF exporter for SolidWorks plugin enables users to share their 3D models in 3D PDF format. The newly added Template Designer enables users to create stunning templates easily to be used in 3D PDF export. Embed PDF option allows users to embed their 3D PDF files into HTML 5, and sharing models on the web. First the Embed PDF inside Html window will appear for the user to select/edit the html template to use. The PDF file should also be specified in this window, before clicking Export.
Merge PDF option allows users to merge more than one PDF file, created by different applications. Merging can be helpful in creating manuals, and in attaching a company's logo to a 3D PDF model file. Just click the merge option and start adding PDF files to merge by clicking the '+' button. A user can change the order of the merged files by clicking the up and down arrows. ClickGenerate PDF button and browse to a folder location, and click Save.
After installing the plugin, and to access its functionalities a user needs to go Tools -> Add-Ins. In the Add-Ins dialog check SimLabSolidworksPDFExportercheckbox, and a new SimLab PDF Exporter tab and menu will be added to SolidWorks.
To enable the plugin's functionalities each time SolidWroks starts the Start Up checkbox should be checked as well.
For the first time a user will need to register the plugin's license, Trial or Professional. This can be done by clicking the Export to PDF or Register options in the plugin's tab or menu. For step by step instructions on how to register a license, pleaseclick here.

Click Export to PDF in the plugin's tab or menu, and start exporting your SolidWorks Parts/Assemblies into customized 3D PDF files. Exporting models in PDF format allows users to share their models with others without risking the models' design, and without the need to install any applications.
